Your Keyhook Tenant Account

Overview

To set up your account, open the Keyhook app → click Register → choose Tenant, then enter your details and confirm your email with the code we send you. To change your email, password or personal details later, open SettingsAccount information.

Create your tenant account
1
Open the registration page
Go to the Keyhook app and, on the welcome screen, click Register. If you already have an account, click Already have an account? to sign in instead.
2
Choose Tenant
Under I am a..., click Tenant.
3
Enter your name and email
Enter your Full name (your legal name) and your Email address. Both are required.
4
Choose a password
Enter a Password of at least the minimum length shown. You can also click Register with Google instead of setting a password.
5
Register
Click Register to create your account.

Note: If your property manager invited you to a tenancy, register using the same email address the invitation was sent to — that is what links your account to your tenancy.

Confirm your email address
1
Open the confirmation page
After registering you'll see a warning that Your email address has not been confirmed. Click Confirm email address on that banner.
2
Find your code
Check your inbox for the email containing a 4 digit verification code. The page shows the address it was sent to.
3
Enter the code
Type the 4 digit code into the boxes on the page. It submits automatically once all four digits are in, or you can click Confirm email.

Note: If the code hasn't arrived, check your spam folder and confirm the email address shown is correct, then click Resend confirmation code to have it sent again. If your original code hasn't expired yet it will be re-sent, not replaced.

Update your email or password
1
Open your account settings
Click your name in the sidebar, click Settings, then open Account information. This opens your account page.
2
Go to Login Details
Find the Login Details card.
3
Change your email or password
Type your new Email address, and/or a New password with its Confirm new password. Leave the password fields blank to keep your current password.
4
Enter your current password
Enter your Current password — Keyhook needs this to confirm the change is really you.
5
Save
Click Save. If you changed your email, you'll be taken to the confirmation page to enter the 4 digit code we send you.

Note: Your Current password is required to save any change here. A new email address isn't active until you confirm it — until then your account shows it as Email pending confirmation.

Update your name, phone and profile picture
1
Open Personal Information
On the same account page, find the Personal Information card.
2
Update your name and phone
Change your Full name (used on agreements and paperwork) and your Phone number — the phone number is optional.
3
Save
Click Save to update your details.
4
Change your profile picture
Near the top of the account page, click Change profile picture and choose a PNG or JPG image up to 1MB. It uploads as soon as you pick the file.

Frequently asked questions

My property manager invited me — how do I sign up?

Open the link in your invitation email and register using that same email address. Registering with a different address means your account won't be linked to your tenancy.

I didn't get my confirmation code — what can I do?

Check your spam or junk folder and confirm the email address on the page is right, then click Resend confirmation code. The code is 4 digits long.

Do I have to confirm my email again if I change it?

Yes. Changing your email sends you a 4 digit code, and the new address isn't active until you enter it — it shows as Email pending confirmation in the meantime.

Why do I need my current password to change my email or password?

Keyhook asks for it to confirm the change is really you. Enter it in the Current password field on the Login Details card before you click Save.

Can I set up two-factor authentication on my tenant account?

No — two-factor authentication is managed by property-management agencies for their own staff. Tenant accounts don't have a 2FA option.
