How do I pay rent?
Learn how to pay your rent as a tenant.
Paying rent using Keyhook is just one simple bank payment.
If you're just joining Keyhook for the first time, or if you're beginning a new tenancy, you'll need to change where you're sending rent.
To begin, you'll need to have created an account and accepted the tenancy request sent to you by your landlord.
Once you've done that, there will be a "Rent Payments" card under your tenancy in the Keyhook app that will have all the payment information you need.
Note: Make sure the reference code you use is correct:
To make sure it's correct, copy and paste the rent reference code using the 'copy to clipboard' button to the right of the number.
The reference code will be "r-" followed by two randomly generated words separated by a "-", for example: "r-word-word". The reference code assigned to you is specific to your current tenancy. It changes with every tenancy and from person to person, so it's important that it is correct.
For ongoing ease and peace of mind, we recommend you set up a recurring payment for the length of your tenancy.
Keyhook will let you know when you forget to send a rent payment through. If you've received a message from us regarding a missing rent payment that you believe to be a mistake, double check your reference code and contact our support team through the Keyhook app, or via email at [email protected]
