Passing 'Review Documents' to Sign Your Tenancy Agreement

Overview

On the Review Documents step, open each document in the Agreement documents card → scroll to the last page → click I confirm I have read this document, then click Next. The Next button won't take you on until every agreement document shows a green tick.

Review each agreement document

1
Open the Review Documents step
Work through your tenancy invitation to the Review Documents step. The Agreement documents card lists every document you must review before you can sign — the Tenancy Agreement plus any extra documents your property manager attached.
2
Open a document
Click (or tap, on a phone) a document card — for example the Tenancy Agreement — to open it in the Review document viewer.
3
Read through to the last page
Scroll all the way through to the last page. The footer shows Scroll to the last page to enable and the confirm button stays locked until you get there; once you reach the end the banner turns green with You’ve reached the end.
4
Confirm you've read it
Click I confirm I have read this document in the sticky footer. The document card gets a green tick and the progress bar updates to X of X reviewed.
5
Repeat for every document
Do the same for each remaining card in the Agreement documents section until the progress bar shows every document reviewed and turns green.
6
Continue to signing
Click Next to move on to the Sign & Accept step. If any agreement document is still unconfirmed, Keyhook shows Please review all documents before proceeding and keeps you on this step.

Note: Confirming a document records that you've read and agree to it before you sign — this is the tenancy agreement (and bond) you'll be legally bound by, so read each one in full rather than just scrolling to the bottom.

If the confirm button stays greyed out
1
Scroll right to the end
The I confirm I have read this document button only unlocks once you've reached the last page. Keep scrolling until the page counter in the footer shows the final page and the banner turns green.
2
Reopen a document you closed early
The viewer resets to page 1 each time you open it, so if you closed a document before confirming, your scroll progress is gone. Reopen it and scroll through to the end again.
3
Single-page documents unlock straight away
A one-page document counts as read as soon as it opens — the button is enabled immediately, so just click I confirm I have read this document.
If the Next button still won't continue
1
Check every agreement document has a green tick
Every card in the Agreement documents section must show a green tick and the progress bar must read X of X reviewed. Open and confirm any card that's still grey.
2
Ignore the Supporting documents card
Documents in the Supporting documents card (such as Healthy Homes documentation) are for your reference only — you don't confirm them and they don't count toward the progress bar.

Frequently asked questions

Why is the "I confirm I have read this document" button greyed out?

Because you haven't reached the last page yet. The footer shows Scroll to the last page to enable until you scroll all the way through; once you reach the end the banner turns green and the button unlocks. A single-page document unlocks as soon as it opens.

I closed a document before confirming and now it's asking again — why?

The viewer resets to page 1 every time you reopen a document, so closing it before you click confirm loses your scroll progress. Reopen the document and scroll to the end again. Once a card shows a green tick it stays confirmed.

Do I have to confirm the Supporting documents too?

No. Only the Agreement documents card needs confirming. The Supporting documents card is for reference and isn't required to be signed as part of the tenancy agreement, so it doesn't affect your progress.

The Next button won't let me continue — what's wrong?

At least one agreement document isn't confirmed yet. Make sure every card in the Agreement documents section has a green tick and the bar reads X of X reviewed. If you click Next too early, Keyhook shows Please review all documents before proceeding.

What happens after I've reviewed every document?

Click Next to reach the Sign & Accept step, where you add your details and signature, tick the terms checkbox and click Accept to accept the tenancy.
