How to Enable Improved Queueing
Overview
Improved queueing is now built into the Keyhook Inspections app — there's no longer a setting to switch on. The app queues and uploads your inspection photos in the background as you take them, as long as you're online. To check or clear what's still uploading, open the inspection → the Actions menu → Pending Uploads, then tap Upload all or Remove a stuck photo.
Check what's still uploading
Note: Wait until this list is empty before you finish or hand off the inspection, so none of your photos are left un-uploaded.
Upload everything now
Note: If you're offline the app shows You are not currently connected to the internet. and nothing uploads — reconnect and tap Upload all again.
Remove a stuck or failed upload
Note: Remove is available on every queued item, not just failed ones, and the queue covers all attachment types — normal, note, flag and action photos. Removing a photo deletes it from the queue for good, so it won't appear in the inspection report; only remove one you don't need or can retake.
If photos won't upload
Good to know
- The Keyhook Inspections app is a separate mobile app. Download the latest version from the Apple App Store or Google Play so you're on the current uploader.
Frequently asked questions
Where's the "Use improved queueing" setting I used to switch on?
It's gone — improved queueing is now built into the app and always on. The app automatically queues and uploads your photos in the background as you take them, so there's nothing to enable. Just make sure you're running the latest version from the App Store or Google Play.
Do I have to upload photos manually?
No. As long as you're online, the app uploads each photo in the background as you take it. Use Pending Uploads → Upload all only to push through anything left over — for example photos taken while you were offline.
What happens to photos I take while offline?
They're saved on your device and added to the pending queue. Once you're back online, open Pending Uploads and tap Upload all to send them.
Is it safe to close the app with photos still pending?
Yes. Captured photos are saved to the app's own storage — not just temporary storage — so they aren't lost if the app closes or the device clears its cache. Reopen the inspection and tap Upload all to finish.
Why can't I see Pending Uploads?
It only appears in the Keyhook Inspections mobile app, and only while the inspection is at the Awaiting Inspection stage. On the web app, or once the inspection is submitted for sign-off or completed, it isn't shown.
