Connect Listing Portals

Overview

To connect a listing portal, open the Agency area → the Manage Integrations card, then in the Realestate.co.nz or Trade Me section click Add account. For realestate.co.nz you enter your API key and Office ID; for Trade Me you sign in and enter a 7-digit PIN.

Open Manage Integrations
1
Open the Agency area
From the left sidebar, click Agency.
2
Open Manage Integrations
On the agency page, click the Manage Integrations card. The page lists a section for each portal — Realestate.co.nz and Trade Me — each showing any accounts you've already connected.

Note: The Manage Integrations card only shows for Principal users, so you'll need a Principal login to connect a portal.

Connect Realestate.co.nz
1
Get your credentials first
Your API key and Office ID come from realestate.co.nz, not Keyhook — contact realestate.co.nz support to request them before you start.
2
Add the account
In the Realestate.co.nz section, click Add account. The Account details window opens.
3
Enter the credentials
Enter the API key (letters and numbers only) and the Office ID (numbers only) — both are required. You can also give the account an optional Account name to tell it apart from others.
4
Choose which portfolios can use it
Under Portfolios, tick Available for all portfolios, or leave it off and select the specific portfolios this account should publish for.
5
Save
Click Save.

Note: Realestate.co.nz credentials can't be edited once saved — to change them, remove the account and add it again.

Connect Trade Me
1
Start the connection
In the Trade Me section, click Add account. Keyhook opens Trade Me in a new browser tab to authorise the link.
2
Sign in and authorise
Sign in to Trade Me and authorise Keyhook. Trade Me then shows a 7-digit PIN.
3
Enter the PIN
Return to Keyhook, where the Enter Trade Me PIN window is waiting, and type the 7-digit PIN.
4
Add the account
Click Add account. A green Connected badge on the account confirms the link succeeded.

Note: A Trade Me account shows a red Not connected badge and can't publish listings until the PIN step is completed. Only the agency owner can connect or reconnect Trade Me — both the Add account and Reconnect flows run the same owner-only sign-in and PIN steps.

Assign portfolios and manage accounts
1
Edit an account
On any account row, click Edit to change its Account name or the portfolios it covers. This is where you assign portfolios to a Trade Me account after connecting it.
2
Reconnect Trade Me if it drops
If a Trade Me account shows Not connected, click Reconnect to re-run the sign-in and PIN steps.
3
Remove an account
Click Remove on the account row and confirm in the pop-up.

Note: Removing an account affects your existing listings — you may need to republish them or contact the platform to transfer your active listings.

Frequently asked questions

Where do I get my realestate.co.nz API key and Office ID?

From realestate.co.nz, not Keyhook — contact their support to request an API key and confirm your Office ID. The API key must be letters and numbers only, and the Office ID must be numbers only.

Why can't I edit my realestate.co.nz credentials?

They're read-only once saved — Keyhook only ever shows a masked version. To change them, remove the account and add it again with the new API key and Office ID.

Why does my Trade Me account say "Not connected"?

The Trade Me link isn't finished until you enter the 7-digit PIN. Until then the account only holds a request token and can't publish listings — click Reconnect to complete the sign-in and PIN steps.

Who can connect a listing portal?

Manage Integrations is only available to Principal users, and connecting or reconnecting a Trade Me account is limited to the agency owner (both use the same owner-only sign-in and PIN flow). Any Principal can add a Realestate.co.nz account.

Can I connect more than one account per portal?

Yes — click Add account again to add another account on the same portal, then use Edit to assign each account the portfolios it should publish for.
